InCoDa 2022 a great success

Explosive increase in visitors

For three days, the interior design industry showed its best side at the trade event InCoDa (Interieur Collectie Dagen) 2022, held last week at Evenementenhal Gorinchem, The Netherlands. With 110 exhibitors, InCoDa presented the latest trends. The number of visitors showed an increase of 22 per cent. The event was visited by nearly 5,400 interior professionals.
Organiser Mascha de Bruin of Easyfairs is more than satisfied. “We have clearly found the way up,” she concludes. “More importantly, we are seeing the visitor target group getting younger. We have also seen growth among stylists and interior designers who know how to find our event. With InCoDa, the industry has given its business card. This was further supported at Next Level with this year’s first Interior Festival entirely dedicated to Sustainability.”
For the Interior Festival, the organisers worked together with stylist/designer Elke Bonnee, business coach for interior professionals Marie-Gon and trade association INretail. In well-attended masterclasses and workshops, the big trends of the moment were reviewed. The four home trends that took centre stage this year were: Sustainable hedonism, Existential power, Layered spaces and Quiet Glamour.
Championships Also at InCoDa was the Dutch Parquet Laying Championship, where professional parquet installers competed for the coveted title. First place was won by Jasper Hogervorst, who gets to keep the Jan van der Kroef challenge trophy on his desk for a year. Among the aspirants, Rozemarijn van der Schilt took the honour and took home the Ad van Mierlo trophy.
At the same time, they competed for first place at the National Residential and Project Furnishing Championship under the auspices of the Consortium Interieurvakman, in which five education specialists, industry association INretail and Branchevereniging Projectinrichting BVP work together. The winner of this national championship is Kay Winters of Deltion College.
Solid foundation Mascha de Bruin: “With this edition, we have laid a solid foundation for the next edition of this most important trade fair for window coverings, flooring, wall coverings and upholstery with special attention to parquet, paint, furniture upholstery and acoustics. Or as the online Interior Journal pointedly reviewed: ‘InCoDa, inspiring and powerful’. The next edition is in our trade fair diary from Sunday 24 to Tuesday 26 September 2023.
