About us
Vyva Fabrics was founded from a small warehouse in a quaint Dutch harbour in 1990 as a supplier of upholstery materials for boats and yachts. Now, 35 years later, we are a wholesaler specialised in the distribution and production of high-quality artificial leathers and fabrics for in and outdoors.
Our innovative and durable fabrics and vinyls are suitable for every sector, ranging from architects to shipbuilders.With our three decades of experience and diverse network of long-term relationships we try to offer excellent service, fresh ideas and lots of inspiration.
Products & services
Harlow
Harlow is a durable and high-quality artificial leather that looks like natural linen and feels pleasant to the touch. The collection has the ecolabel OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. This quality label guarantees that the artificial leather does not contain any substances that could be harmful to people or the environment. The innovative material in the Harlow collection is therefore completely phthalate-free. The artificial leather has a wear resistance of no less than 800,000 Martindale; so it is practically indestructible and can last a lifetime. The upholstery fabric for indoor and outdoor use is also stain-resistant and antibacterial. The latest addition is 6 stunning new Eco colors. What makes these shades even more special is that they are made from 45% sustainable materials, ranging from recycled PET to BIO-based plasticizers.
REVYVA
REVYVA is our new collection made of 100% recycled polyester yarns, made from post-consumer plastic bottles. The fabric has permanent flame retardant superior properties. Popolare
As good as Italian food Vyva Fabrics have launched the Popolare collection, comprising an artificial upholstery leather inspired by Italian cuisine, which is loved the world over. As always, we have stayed true to our motto: 'Never out of style, always in fashion.' Of course, the collection is characterised by the high standards Vyva Fabrics is renowned for, including care for the environment and consumer comfort. Exclusive recipe This exclusive line of artificial leather looks like real leather, is pleasant to the touch, durable and easy to maintain. The upholstery fabric is available in no less than 56 warm, easy-to-combine and appetising colours, such as cream white Burrata, golden brown Caramello, soft green Pesto and dark greyish Tartufo. The collection also offers a choice of 17 fabrics in glossy metallic shades. All with a pinch of Italian style. Both the materials and the method of production used for the new Popolare collection comply with European REACH legislation to reduce the use of chemical components. This ensures the safety of both materials and production to human and nature, to skin and environment. Furthermore, Popolare is entirely phthalates free, wear-resistant, fade-resistant and anti-bacterial. In short, it is appealing to 'tutta la famiglia', literally and figuratively speaking. La bella vita So, bring on the pasta or pizza, because a little spilled olive oil or tomato sauce can do no damage. You just wipe it away! Agua Fabrics VerdEco
VerdEco, is sustainable fabric, which is available in 35 shades with a rich mix of melange colours. Not only is VerdEco truly sustainable, it’s made from 100% recycled material and uses zero water in its production. The collection is produced from pre-consumer textile waste; by-product materials from fibre, yarn and woven fabric. These waste products are collected and mechanically recycled into granules, which are then re-spun into yarn, re-woven, quality checked and shipped in recycled packaging. Crucially, the production process uses zero water, with new yarn colours being carefully composed from recycled fibre and checked for consistency by the mill. As a water-free fabric, VerdEco is of course chemical-free too and uses significantly less energy in its production than conventional upholstery fabric. On average, 250 litres of water is saved when upholstering a three-seat sofa in Verd Eco. This figure represents the normal average quantity of water consumed by upholstery fabric used to cover a standard three-seater. At scale, the water and energy savings available by choosing VerdEco are significant for furniture manufacturers and specifiers to say the least. In terms of its performance features, VerdEco is crib 5 and IMO inherent, with no back-coating needed to achieve these fire retardant standards. However, in a commitment to keeping the collection truly sustainable, VerdEco is not treated fabric as most other soft fabric in Agua range, so it’s worth keeping in mind that VerdEco isn’t waterproof, stain resistant or antimicrobial, as with the core Agua collection. VerdEco, quite apart from its recycled and water-free credentials, is a good-looking, practical and highly durable fabric that fits neatly into Vyva Fabrics ever-growing range.
Hemp Wavy
This beautiful hemp fabric is made from 75% sustainable hemp yarn. The natural & sustainable hemp fabric is extremely suitable for outdoor life, because the collection can withstand all weather conditions. With 9 vibrant colors to choose from, this festival, wavy pattern will enliven any environment.
Econic
Durable and high-quality ecological artificial leather for indoor and outdoor use. Econic is a durable and high-quality artificial leather that looks like natural linen and feels pleasant to touch. The innovative material in the Econic collection is completely phthalate-free and contains 75% biobased, recycled and renewable ingredients. Sustainable products have been used in production, such as bio-attributed PVC resins originating from agricultural and forestry biomass, and bio-based plasticizers derived from soybean oil. The material contains no chemical FR (flame retardant) additives, and still meets the European fire standard EN 1021 (part 1&2). The backing consists of 100% recycled polyester made from used plastic water bottles, and the collection has the eco-label OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. This quality label guarantees that the synthetic leather does not contain any substances that could be harmful to people or the environment. The upholstery fabric for indoor and outdoor use, is available in no less than 25 carefully selected warm, inviting and timeless shades that make every interior and exterior, modern and classic, sparkle.
Sunbrella Endless Stories
Endless Stories is partly made from Sunbrella scrap material collected during the production process. The recycled acrylic yarn has a varied and lightly blended colour, contributing to the unique character of the product. The collection is designed to enable unlimited combinations of textures and colours. The four types - Heritage, Source, Harvest and Slow - seamlessly fit together and can also be well combined with the standard Sunbrella collections. The fabrics are free from hazardous substances and pose no threat to health, skin, or the environment. They carry the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification, representing the highest safety level for textile products. Sunbrella fabrics contribute to healthy indoor air quality and are GREENGUARD GOLD certified. The treatments applied to the products strictly comply with European REACH regulations. Additionally, the Endless Stories collection is designed without PFAS.
